Site manager responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing the overall site performance of construction process
  • Supervision & co-ordination of subcontractor & suppliers on site under the direction of the Project Manager continuously reviewing building practices and procedures
  • Ensuring compliance with and delivery of established cost management and project management practices
  • Management of site safety plans
  • Daily review of construction program to ensure projects are delivered within the specified timeframe
  • Engaging with government officials, building professionals and architects to plan work
  • Liaising with the Project Manager to be his eyes and ears on site
  • Fostering a positive and focused culture where customer service and teamwork is paramount


The ideal Site Manager candidate will have:

  • A background in carpentry or similar is essential
  • 3 years’ previous experience as a Site Manager within the residential building is preferred
  • The ability to handle 4 to 5 sites at the same period
  • The flexibility to work long and irregular hours, including weekends
  • A proven and excellent safety record from previous projects
  • The ability to multitask and problem solve
  • A willingness to be hands on when needed
  • Strong project management skills, knowledge of building regulations, NZ building code
  • A customer focus, exceptional communication, and conflict resolution skills


Mandarin or Cantonese speaking is preferred.


Quantity surveyor key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Preparation and evaluation of project variations, claims, delays, extension of time and contractual obligations
  • Accurate recording of variances to the project budget
  • Verification of the re-measure quantities including confirmation of consistency in methods of measurement
  • Preparation of tender documents
  • Ensuring all notifications/documents are managed in accordance with the contract, and Client / Company policy
  • Resolving disputes between contracting parties


The ideal quantity surveyor candidate will have:

  • A tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or relevant field
  • 2 to 3 years previous experience in a similar role, preferably within a resources sector construction project
  • Previous experience producing bills of quantities for major projects
  • Excellent eye for detail and ability to read construction drawings
  • Previous experience taking off various schemes on design & construction projects
  • Strong computer literacy skills and an analytical mindset
  • Previous model software experience


Mandarin or Cantonese speaking is preferred.
