We are seeking an experienced operational risk manager with business continuity experience for a new role in an NZ regulator.
This new role in one of NZ’s regulatory authorities is responsible for identifying, managing and mitigating internal operational risks. Reporting to the COO, this position will take ownership of the risk management and business continuity frameworks across the organisation as well as being accountable for the implementation of audit recommendations.
You will provide advice on risks to a range of senior stakeholders, and will act as a role model and champion for risk culture across the business.
You will have experience in managing operational risk in from risk registers through to the provision of assurance to senior management. You will ideally have managed business continuity plans and will be happy to constructively challenge the status quo.
You will have outstanding written and verbal communication skills and will be able to operate autonomously. Influencing at the senior level is a critical part of this role. You will also be able to demonstrate your ability to pragmatically solve problems and drive processes to conclusions.
