Mō te tūranga | About the role:

Our Te Ohu Pūmanawa Tāngata | People & Culture team are seeking an experienced and motivated Tumu Pūmanawa Tāngata | People & Culture Business Partner to join their close-knit team. 

In this position, you will support the People & Culture Manager in the development of HR strategy and policies, practices, and services. You will also coach and support two other advisors within the team. 

The People & Culture Business Partner is responsible for providing expert advice and services to the management team in all HR functions, including Recruitment, Talent Management, and Employment Relations. 

This is a true generalist position where you will be able partner closely with our Executive and Management teams and lead and implement HR projects when required.

The successful candidate will have excellent relationship management skills and be a trusted business partner who will provide credible advice.  You will also be confident in facilitating and presenting and have good time management skills.

To be considered for this opportunity, you will ideally come with the following attributes:

  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in an HR Advisor role.
  • HR related tertiary qualification.
  • Strong competency of Tikanga, Te Ao Māori, Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles and Te Reo Māori would be an advantage.
  • Solid understanding of current HR practice and demonstrated knowledge of NZ employment legislation.
  • Experience using ELMO, GOSH or similar HR systems and software.
