Job Description

Senior Consultant, Legal - Wellington

Join NZ's foundation legal recruitment specialists with more than 25 years experience delivering to top law firms, corporate in-house teams and government.  Our teams in Auckland and Wellington are expanding and we would love to hear from recruiters currently working in legal recruitment overseas who are looking to return home or from locally based consultants who are seeking a fresh opportunity in 2021.

Our approach

Part of what makes us successful is our understanding of our clients and the work they do.  Most of our legal recruitment team have legal training, and at a point in their careers identified that their calling was to help other professionals realise their career goals and place them into the best firms and in-house teams.

About you

You must be an awesome communicator, who is a natural connector with a strong interest in using smart technology to help Aotearoa New Zealand grow stronger, more diverse and inclusive organisations. You will need to have strong verbal and written communication skills, the confidence and ability to present to senior professionals and clients and have fantastic time management skills with an ability to multitask. It would be awesome if you have fluency or proficiency with te Reo Māori, Mandarin or Cantonese or a Pacific language but this is not a must (and we provide weekly te Reo Maōri training for all of our team).

Our rewards include a competitive base salary, uncapped bonus structure, flexibility to work from home, mobile, laptop and ongoing training.  Our top performers are recognised with a travel package to a recruitment conference and monthly rewards including celebratory lunches and rostered days off.

Diversity & Inclusion

You should enjoy working as part of a team and have a flair for dealing with people from all walks of life.  Niche places great importance on Diversity and Inclusion strategies in the workplace and ensuring that these standards are met within our recruitment processes.  Dedication in this area, together with the desire to succeed will ensure your success.

About Niche

We create pathways between exceptional people and specialist roles. Driven by a vision of a stronger, more diverse and inclusive workforce, we are an independently owned recruitment firm with a kaupapa to match exceptional people to the specialist roles that need them. Our team of consultants are focused on delivering a successful fit for both client and individual across all permanent and contract roles relating to legal, regulatory, people and culture, policy and leadership positions. We cater for both public and private sector positions, being featured on the All of Government (AoG) panel for recruitment.
