We are seeking a senior Anti-Money Laundering expert for this exciting opportunity in one of New Zealand’s most high-profile organisations.
SkyCity Entertainment Group is seeking a world class AML/CFT expert to lead its AML/CTF function and strategy. This position, reporting to the General Counsel & Company Secretary, is a senior leadership position with critical group-wide responsibility for AML/CFT functions and practices.
Working as part of a close knit and highly collaborative legal/compliance team, this individual will have regular interaction with the Chief Executive Officer and the Board and will be as comfortable speaking to the regulator as they will be speaking to front line staff on AML/CFT issues..
Continuing changes to the regulatory regimes in New Zealand and Australia presents ongoing opportunities for the successful candidate to expand their knowledge and remain at the forefront of AML/CFT management.
In addition, there is an opportunity for the individual to play a role in the regulatory function across the SkyCity Entertainment Group and develop processes and strategies to positively influence gambling legislation and developments to minimise adverse operational impacts while ensuring high levels of compliance and managing any non-compliance issues.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have extensive experience in, and understanding of, AML/CFT regulatory requirements, preferably across organisations outside financial services. Your practical experience of managing financial crime issues will allow you to provide workable solutions to the business, and your stakeholder engagement skills will enable you to communicate those at all levels.
You will be comfortable presenting at Board level and have the experience to provide strategic insights to your senior stakeholders including the Chief Executive Officer. You will be equipped to lead a team of AML/CFT professionals and drive a culture where people strive for success. Exceptional negotiating and problem-solving skills and a high degree of resilience will also be part of your toolkit.
