ACC’s Enterprise Strategy, Huakina te Rā is a guiding force for the organisation into a future where communities achieve Mana Taurite, Ringa Atawhai and Oranga Whānau, and where services are easier to access, more responsive to, and considerate of Māori values and beliefs.
In this fixed term Talent Acquisition Manager role (which has arisen due to an internal secondment) there is an opportunity to shift the dial on ACC’s responsiveness to Māori by engaging an experienced recruitment specialist who also brings a deep knowledge of te ao Māori.
A role with genuine influence and impact, you will be charged with transforming the end-to-end talent acquisition process and developing the cultural capability of the talent acquisition team through the interweaving of Te Ao Māori, Tikanga Māori and Mātauranga Māori.

You are a strong communicator, connector and integrator who will thrive on the opportunity to combine your cultural, leadership and talent acquisition skills in this unique role.
Key skills and experience:
- Deep knowledge of Te Ao Māori, Tikanga Māori, and Mātauranga Māori.
- Understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi as it applies in the public sector, with the ability to bring the essence and intentions of Te Tiriti to life in a way that is relevant for today.
- Extensive talent acquisition management experience.
- Strong people leadership skills, with the ability to uplift capability and engagement.
- An influential style that builds trust and credibility.
