About the role
Working closely with the Chief Operating Officer and GM Commercial, the GM Operations will hold a key role on the Executive Leadership Team at this exciting time in the company’s history, as it continues to evolve in scale and complexity.
The GM Operations will drive excellence in delivery across Hill Labs by overseeing operational strategy, resource planning, logistics, and equipment use. They will lead a skilled team of operational managers to implement, maintain, and review existing processes and systems, while introducing innovations to ensure profitability and sustained competitive advantage.
About you
We are seeking a senior operational leader who can execute a vision for world-class operational performance and set their teams up for success.
To be successful in this role, you will offer:
- At least 10 years of experience in a senior management operational leadership role, with knowledge of LEAN manufacturing tools.
- Exceptional leadership, coaching and influencing skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of functional leaders to perform at their best.
- Experience in an environment where operational excellence is a focus, such as laboratory analytical services, or high-tech manufacturing, or food processing.
- The knowledge, experience, and intellectual horsepower to be credible in a highly technical environment.
- Effective communication skills with proven ability to build constructive relationships across a diverse range of customers.
