Senior Data Analyst (6-month fixed term contract)

This full-time fixed-term role (until March 2026) offers a unique opportunity to contribute to meaningful change by supporting strategic decision-making and performance reporting.

As Senior Data Analyst, you’ll design and implement systems to capture, analyse, and visualise data that informs leadership and external partners. You’ll work closely with Mana Whenua and internal teams to monitor progress on key strategic initiatives, champion Māori data sovereignty, and embed culturally appropriate data practices across the organisation.

Your mahi will support strategic risk monitoring, build capability in data analysis and visualisation, and help turn aspirations into action for future generations.

About You

We’re looking for someone who brings a mix of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and cultural competency. Key requirements include:

• Tertiary qualification in business or 5+ years’ experience in a similar role
• Proven experience in strategic planning, corporate reporting, and performance monitoring
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data collection, analysis, and visualisation utilising Microsoft tools including Power BI, Excel Planner and Lists
• Strong written and verbal communication skills including story-telling ability for effective report writing
• An understanding of te ao Māori principles (or desire to learn)
