The Firm

This North Shore-based boutique law firm is seeking a talented and motivated solicitor who has a strong passion for advocating for the environment to join their team.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to work closely with the Partners on a diverse range of environmental law and resource management matters, such as urban development, infrastructure, public works, alcohol licensing, prosecution and enforcement. 

This firm advises a diverse range of clients including large corporates, local government, private clients and iwi/tangata whenua. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting in-depth legal research and analysis.
• Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings, submissions and contracts, for court hearings and other legal proceedings.
• Assist with client relationship management and manage case files efficiently. 

About You:

• A NZ qualified lawyer with 1-2+ years' PQE in private practice, preferably with prior experience in environmental law or resource management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• The ability to work collaboratively within the team, and alongside a diverse range of clients.
