Job Description

Solicitor | Relationship Property

The Opportunity

Are you a junior lawyer seeking to join a well-established firm that offers amazing benefits and high-quality work? Do you want to serve national clients without giving up that close-knit and supportive team? Our client is a high-quality full-service legal practice in sunny Tauranga, and they seek a dedicated Relationship Property Solicitor to join their friendly and professional team that puts people first.

They are seeking a Solicitor who can bring some experience in both transactional (e.g., pre/post relationship contracting out Agreements) and contentious (e.g., Family and High Court proceedings, settlement conferences, and defended hearings) relationship property matters.

What makes this role really stand out is the wide range of work on offer in addition to the relationship property matters; such as, Estates disputes including Family Protection/Testamentary promises matters, PPPR Act applications, and contentious Trust matters. With a number of experienced practitioners in the firm, it’s the perfect opportunity for a junior Solicitor to grow in a genuinely supportive environment.

A range of benefits with a strong focus on wellness and quality of life and a culture that inspires, nurtures, and rewards effort to complement an excellent base salary commensurate with experience is on offer. There is support, flexibility, and even a car park for your daily use to save on the stress of commuting.

With plenty of work in motion, you will have the opportunity to work on a range of interesting matters and increase your confidence.  If you aspire to work with a well-established firm in a fabulous location, we want to hear from you!

About You

The successful candidate will be committed to providing excellent care for their clients and building professional relationships.

Ideally, you will be:

  • A NZ qualified lawyer with 1-3+ years’ PQE from another private practice.
  • Prior experience in relationship property is essential.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
