Team Manager – Water Services & Regulation

 Lead a team of technical advisors to effectively ensure all communities in Aotearoa New Zealand have access to safe and reliable drinking water every day.

About the role & you

In this newly created role, you will lead a team of 7 technical advisors geared to overseeing and regulating the provision of safe drinking water to Aotearoa New Zealand and protecting health.

To succeed in this role, you should bring:

  • Water Management: Expertise in providing strategic and technical advice on the management of drinking water or wastewater.
  • Leadership and People Management: Proven leadership experience in managing and enhancing advisory teams, both cultural and technically
  • Relationship and Stakeholder Management: Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement and collaboration, with a track record of building and maintaining relationships with government agencies and other relevant communities and organisations.
  • Government and Political Acumen: Understanding of New Zealand’s machinery of government and the processes, systems, and tools to inform decision making on regulatory matters.
