Senior Legal Counsel

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced corporate/commercial lawyer to join a well-known manufacturing and distribution company operating across Australia and New Zealand.

Based in the office in central Auckland, this role has a strong commercial focus, where you will be supporting the group procurement team and IT functions. You will be immersed in a wide variety of work, where you will engage with and provide pragmatic legal advice to senior stakeholders, negotiate commercial contracts, and assist with procurement from pitch to execution.

There are opportunities to learn from senior leaders and work and lead on Trans-Tasman deals.

About You

• 6+ years’ PQE (it is not a pre-requisite to be a New Zealand qualified lawyer)
• Proven commercial background with strong experience in commercial contracts and procurement
• Ability to manage and engage with key business leaders
• Strong written and spoken communication skills
