Professional Standards Coordinator
The Medical Council of New Zealand protects public safety by ensuring our doctors are competent and fit to practise. It sets professional standards, oversees medical registration, and supports lifelong learning, fostering a high-quality and trusted healthcare system.
We are looking for a highly organised Professional Standards Coordinator to provide vital administrative and case management support to the Professional Standards team. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient handling of notifications, investigations, and other key regulatory processes within the team.
Mō te tūranga | About the role
You will play a key role in supporting the team’s operations, managing case documentation, ensuring timely follow-ups, and maintaining strong communication with internal and external stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include monitoring case activities, tracking regulatory matters, and assisting in drafting key documents such as briefing papers, circulars, and minutes.

To succeed in this role, you will have strong administrative experience in a regulatory, healthcare, or legal setting. Your attention to detail, multitasking ability, and clear communication skills will be essential. A proactive and solutions-focused mindset, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management, will help you thrive in this fast-paced environment.
