The Opportunity
This is a great opportunity for someone with litigation experience, who is wanting to continue managing a range of litigation files, but also gain broader experience in, and give legal advice related to policy and regulation matters within a government agency.
You will receive expert coaching and supervision by the Legal Services Manager and will be encouraged to contribute your expertise towards the continuous development of policy and practice issues across the organisation.
The Role
In this role you will independently manage a caseload of tribunal cases and you will also:
- provide legal advice and opinions in relation to licensing and disciplinary processes.
- work on a range of interesting and unique work pertaining to relevant legislation, regulations, and codes.
- contribute to policy and practice development to ensure organisational activities meet the highest possible standards.
Preferred appointing range $110K to $130K depending upon experience.
About you
You will have 4+ years PQE, with experience managing litigation and you will also have:
- eligibility to hold a NZ practising certificate.
- solid knowledge of public law and the machinery of government.
- a strong understanding of regulatory regimes and property law.
- A desire to support other colleagues through the sharing of your knowledge and coaching.
