The successful candidate will join a small, dedicated People & Capability team during a time of positive change. With a refreshed People Strategy underway, the team is focused on lifting organisational capability, enhancing systems, and embedding people practices that drive engagement and impact.
Mō te tūranga | About the role
This broad and varied role combines strategic partnering with hands-on delivery. The People Business Partner provides trusted HR advice and generalist support to allocated groups across the organisation – including performance, employment relations, change, remuneration, and recruitment.
The role leads the people advisory function and manages one direct report, ensuring consistent, high-quality people services. Working closely with leaders and the wider People & Capability team, the People Business Partner plays a key role in developing and implementing people initiatives aligned with the organisation’s strategic direction.

The ideal candidate will bring a collaborative and pragmatic working style, alongside strong generalist HR experience. You’ll be confident building relationships at all levels, able to balance strategic input with operational delivery, and motivated to support others to succeed.
Key experience and attributes include:

At least five years’ experience in senior HR roles

Sound knowledge of employment relations and change management

Strong communication and relationship-building skills

The ability to use data insights to inform people-related decisions

Experience managing or mentoring others

Project management capability and comfort working across multiple priorities
-
A tertiary qualification in HR (or equivalent experience)
