Senior Solicitor / Associate, Corporate & Commercial

A fantastic opportunity for a senior corporate or commercial lawyer to join the Wellington office of a top tier, award-winning, full-service New Zealand law firm.

The role

You’ll be part of a supportive and engaged team, working with a highly regarded and industry leading corporate partner, on a broad variety of matters including mergers and acquisitions, procurement and tendering, complex commercial contracting, foreign inbound investments and divestments, the establishment of joint ventures, as well as general corporate and commercial advice. You will work for both domestic and international clients, across various sectors such as energy, transport, infrastructure, and technology.   

While the role is ideally based in Wellington, our client is open to considering candidates based in Auckland. They are also open to full-time or part-time working arrangements.

What you’ll bring

• A Bachelor of Laws and a current (or eligible) practising certificate
• 4+ years' experience in corporate and/or commercial law, particularly in drafting and negotiating contracts
• Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills
• A strong work ethic, including an aptitude for thoroughness and accuracy
• A commitment to service and to providing outstanding client care
• A desire to learn, grow and to challenge yourself
• A strong academic transcript
